☼ Bio-Bay Kayaking

Yokahu Kayak Trips require that all of its guests be prepared for this extraordinary adventure. They will enjoy a safe and exciting tour of the “Big Lagoon” located in Las Cabezas De San Juan, Fajardo, Puerto Rico.

This night kayaking tour can start from 6pm (schedule subject to change); guests will cross a channel that is surrounded and at the same time protected  by various forms of mangroves; eco system that protect our groups from the strong wind, making the kayaking sport a easy paddling thru this peace-ful channel.

In our tour, our guides will show  to the people about the proper way to control a kayak, inside the Bio-Bay will give a chat about the eco system and bioluminescent bay,and at the end of this tour we include snacks and refreshments. The utmost important experience of this tour is to enjoy the incredible  glittering water of the “Big Lagoon” ,caused by its tiny bioluminescent organisms called pyrodiniums  that live in this waters from top to the bot-tom of this bay.

The tour is approximately two hours long. In the channel, one will have to paddle for twenty-five (25) minutes to the lagoon and paddle  twenty-five minutes out of the channel of the lagoon. Guest are not allowed to carry any refreshments or snacks during the tour in order to preserve the natural beauty of this Bio Bay.

7 Seas Eco Kayaking

Visit the Seven Seas beach and get ready for a fun and challenging kayaking adventure. Paddle over beautiful crystalline waters, protected from the surf by a long reef wall between the beach and the Atlantic Ocean.  The beach is surrounded by hills, protecting you from strong winds and letting you enjoy a more relaxing kayaking experience.

You will paddle for approximately 25 minutes to reach "La Matita" (which means Little Plant), a corner of the beach named for a mangrove tree which, curiously, stands alone in the water.  Upon reaching La Matita, you can participate in beach games such as volleyball, football, or paddle ball, or just lie back and take in some sun.  Then take another 25-minute paddle back to Seven Seas beach.  The entire trip lasts about an hour and a half

All equipment, such as lifevest and ergonomic backrest, is included for your safety and comfort.  Snacks and bottled water are provided at La Matita.  Our guides are trained to respond to any situation you may experience in the water.

River Trip!!!

Visit the Espiritu Santo River and get ready for a fun kayaking adventure! You will experience a natural ecosystem and enjoy its beautiful scenery. Paddling down river, you will pass through the mangrove ecosystems that are ubiquitous on our island's coasts.  You'll see different types of birds, such as the great egret, blue heron, red tailed hawk and pelicans, among others. 

You will also explore the habitat of the iguana.  If you are a nature lover, come and admire the beauty of Mother Nature at this natural reserve in the
town of Rio Grande.

The tour will stop at the famous Coco Beach where you will be able to see the mouth of the river where it flows into the Atlantic Ocean. At the beach you will have the opportunity to take a walk along the shoreline or justlie back, take in some sun and enjoy the views.  The river's waters are calm, so you need not be an expert or particularly strong paddler.

The tour lasts about 2 hours.  A short training session will precede your trip - no previous kayaking experience necessary.  All equipment,such as lifevest and ergonomic backrest, is included for your safety and comfort. We will provide an oasis with free snacks and refreshments at the tour stop in Coco Beach.

Our guides are trained to respond to any situation you may experience in the water.
